Dear friends and partners,

It is with mixed emotions that the Board of Directors announces some changes to our leadership team, most notably the departure of Hector Montalvo as Executive Director of the Georgia Hispanic Construction Association effective January 22, 2018.  We appreciate his efforts during his two-year tenure and wish him all the best in his new endeavors.

We are, however, delighted to announce that Andrea Rivera and Maricielo Fuller have agreed to assist with leading the Georgia Hispanic Construction Association effective immediately.  Andrea will lead the association as Interim Executive Director and Maricielo Fuller is taking on the newly created role of Program Manager.

Andrea is a 25-year resident of Atlanta, an active community and business leader serving on several boards including the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the Association of Latino Professionals of America (ALPFA) and the advisory board for Hispanic Organization Promoting Education, among others.   Her experience and relationships in the construction sector, along with her work and dedication in the community gives us confidence in her leadership during this important transition period.

Over the coming weeks Andrea will reach out to our members and sponsors to share her vision for the association including our plans for increasing the value of our partnerships for 2018 and beyond.  You may reach Andrea by email at or by phone at

I’m very excited about what 2018 has in store for the GHCA.  I can’t stress enough the pride I have in our organization, my enthusiasm for its future and my appreciation for each one of you.  If you have any ideas or concerns you want to share, please reach out to me directly at
